Second Life is a huge multiverse with many worlds to explore. The best way to find fun places to go is:
- Click Search
- Click the Showcase tab
- View All or select a tab for your interest area
Additionally, under Search
- Click the Places tab
- Type in a subject that interests you
- Select a place from the search and check it out
- Repeat until you find some places that appeal to you
- Landmark your favorite places so you can return easily
But most people enjoying going to various areas only when there is a certain event happening. You can attend Discussions, Educational events, parties, games, shows, etc. To find events that interest you:
- Click Search
- Click the Events tab
- Use the drop-down menu for the type of event you want to attend
The last and very convenient way to discover events of interest to you is to join Groups of your areas of interest. To find Groups to join:
- Click Search
- Click the Groups tab
- Type in topics that interest you
- When you see a Group that sounds interesting, double click the title
- Click the View Full Profile
- Click Join Group
From there you will get notifications when a group you have joined is having an event. Sometimes you can even IM the group to chat with its members.
