To say I’m on the computer a lot is putting it mildly. Because I am so active in virtual living, I have created my own blog on the topic: Virtual Living: The Second Life.

In Second Life, I participate in book reading groups, attending university science talks, especially in astronomy, and meet with friends in various groups. I rent a beautiful corner of a SIM, where I have a cabin, lots of trees and wildlife.

Additionally, I communicate with many through Facebook and Twitter, as well as LinkedIn. Facebook is also great for creating collective voices over causes, and to help momentum over specific issues. as well as staying up to date with friends and relatives.

The internet has made created wonderful ways for people to meet, share ideas, make professional connections. We truly do have a thriving global community.
