Client reference
  • I had the great pleasure of working with Dana Nourie for almost 10 years at Sun Microsystems. Not only is she an excellent technical writer and project manager, but she’s someone who is continually enthusiastic and positive. Her laugh always makes my day and her photography is absolutely inspiring.

    Ed Ort, Senior Technical Writer
  • Dana is one of those people for whom the phrase “I don’t know” has no power. She has less fear of learning than anyone I’ve ever met. I have seen her tackle task after task that was just a little bit out of her reach, and by the end, it’s well within her core competency. She’s smart, creative, and engaging. You can safely say that any task you present to Dana will be completed with enthusiasm and with greater scope than you ever would have expected.

Laureen Hudson, Director of Technical Operations at TarrenPoint
  • Based on some very creative and extremely effective (measured by both satisfaction and shear quantity of developer usage) material that Dana had created as part of Sun’s Java developer program (aimed at new users) I asked Dana to take on the (daunting) challenge of developing both a web persona and online community for Sun’s largest series of developer events – the Sun Tech Days (150+ events worldwide, 250k+ developers). Dana’s transition of what was a flat, anonymous, uninteresting web presence was nothing short of amazing. Throughout the process I was consistently impressed with her balance of professionalism and creativity, while managing a very diverse set of feedback. The end result of this effort was nothing short of a complete transformation for the program – one that added an entire additional level of interest and engagement to what had been an already fairly successful program. Dana’s ability to bring creativity, thoughtfulness, and content expertise makes her a very unique commodity, and one that I highly recommend for any project.

  • Dana is a one-of-a-kind writer, editor, and website manager who has both a thorough understanding of the latest technological trends and the wisdom of how to apply them to make money for a company. She can handle any task assigned to her, and she knows exactly how to get the job done with a minimum amount of time and resources. In a rare addition, she also has the skills of a programmer–invaluable at understanding and constructing effective technical documentation. I sincerely hope I have the opportunity to work with Dana again.
