Though I agree with and practice Secular Buddhism, I would not call myself a Buddhist. I am not religious, nor do I aspire to any particular sect or belief system. On the contrary, there is enough here on Earth to enjoy, appreciate, experience, and figure out, without having to resort to things that are intangible.
That said, the physical universe is vast, and our senses are limited. There is so much yet to discover, and the sciences open doors to possibilities and probabilities.
Exploring the cosmic pathway is a fascinating journey, and I enjoy blogging about what I discover about myself, and my place in this vast universe. I’ve come to realize that the spiritual path is a filter, a barrier between the life being lived and life itself. It’s a distraction from here and now, and keeps you from what you seek. The reality of our every days lives, the little details, the boredom the happiness, the despair are what the stuff of life is made of. To seek the spiritual or the religious is to want to rise out of the reality of life.
Let go of the quest, and live this life, each moment, even day. For this is what there is.
