About
Dana’s photography career began underwater, photographing amazing sea life. Now, Dana’s photography also includes landscapes, cities, parks, urban wildlife, and sometimes people. In addition, she creates digital art. Her favorite subjects are animals, but sometimes the ones that are the most fun and challenging are subjects that are difficult to capture with the camera, such as people, a place that is far from beautiful, or something so common that it has to be shown at a different angle, lighting, etc.
Dana has over 100 articles and essays published in national and regional publications, such as Family Circle, Fitness, Walking, Women’s Day, Frontier, as well as numerous websites. She’s also a technical writer and total geek for Sun Microsystems.
Dana self-published a novel called Arlyn and the Purloin Bane, and will be publishing her book of essays on her connection with nature through her publishing website Sacred Oaks Publishing.
See her other website Dana Nourie for all the other stuff she’s into.
